Math worksheets

Choose the facts or the level, how many questions, then print. The address keeps the exact sheet, so you can print it again or send it to someone else.

Phonics and reading worksheets

Made from the words in our phonics games, from short vowel words to vowel teams, using only the sounds taught by then. Every word has a picture, so children can work out what to read.

For teachers

Every worksheet prints as a class set: choose 6, 15 or 30 versions and each copy has different questions, with its version number at the top, so neighbors can’t copy. The answer sheets come after them, in the same order.

For parents to print

For the fridge, the homework table and the day it all clicks.

A sheet for one times table

Each table has its own page with a chart, the tricks that make it easier and a game, and a worksheet for just that table.

Or print a mixed sheet of every table, and the multiplication chart to go with it.

How to use worksheets well

  • Little and often

Ten minutes on most days does more than an hour on the weekend. Facts stick when they’re remembered again and again, with gaps in between.

  • Mix it up

A sheet of only the 7s gets easy once a pattern sets in. Mixed sheets make children work out what each question needs, which is harder, and better for remembering.

  • Say it out loud

On a phonics sheet, ask your child to say each word before they write. Hearing the sounds is the skill; the pencil comes second.

  • Check it together

Go through it right away. A wrong answer talked through while it’s fresh teaches more than a page of check marks, and asking “how did you work it out?” tells you more than the score.

A worksheet checks. Thena explains.

When a sheet shows something hasn’t clicked, Thena teaches it on her board, out loud, the way your child’s school does.
