What we left out, on purpose

  • 1

    No clock ticking

Racing a timer makes many children anxious and teaches guessing. Speed comes by itself once a fact is known.

  • 2

    No lives to lose

A wrong answer opens help instead: a way in, then a picture, then the answer, and the fact comes back later.

  • 3

    No leaderboards

Children grow their own garden and beat their own best, not each other.

  • 4

    No account, no tracking

Progress stays on this device. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to buy.

Questions parents ask

Are these math games really free?

Yes. No account, no ads, nothing to buy. They’re made by Thena, an AI teacher, and her lessons for children start with 3 free.

What ages are they for?

Number bonds suit kindergarten to 2nd grade, and the times tables games 2nd to 5th grade. Olive Harvest, a game of tactics, suits 3rd grade and up, and families playing together.

Do they work on a tablet or phone?

Yes, in the web browser on an iPad, tablet, phone, laptop or Chromebook. Nothing to install.

Can teachers use them in class?

Yes. They work on an interactive whiteboard, need no logins, and the worksheets print with answers.

Games are practice. Thena teaches.

When a game shows something hasn’t clicked, Thena explains it on her board, out loud, until it makes sense.
