Number codes for words
Four words are written in number codes, each letter always the same number. Three codes are given in a jumbled order, and one is missing.

What the question looks like
TOOL ROOT ROLL COLD 8775 5774 6741 What is the code for ROLL?
How Thena would solve it
Look for patterns. TOOL and ROOT have the same letter twice in the middle, and so do 8775 and 5774. COLD has no letter twice, like 6741.
TOOL ROOT 8775 5774
So COLD is 6741. Write each letter with its number.
C O L D 6 7 4 1 TOOL ends in L, which is 4, so TOOL is 5774 and T is 5. ROOT is 8775, so R is 8.
T R 5 8 ROLL has no code shown. R, O, L, L is 8, 7, 4, 4.
ROLL = 8744
Answer: 8744
